Junichi Tazawa

A japenese pitcher named Junichi Tazawa is really close to signing a contract with the boston red sox. He even rejected offers from 3 other majer league teams including the texas rangers, seattle mariners and the atlanta braves. Next week the baseball player will announce his decision on whether or not he will sign with the red sox. Tazawa is a really good baseball player and pitcher. that is why he recieved so many ofers. i think he will do well if he signs for the boston red sox.

Body of Lies

This weekend I saw the movie Body of Lies. The reason that I had gone to see the movie was because I had read an Entertainment Weekly article on the movie a few weeks ago. The article talked about how the movie mirrors some elements of current events, and it reccomended it to audiences.

I was really disappointed though. Even though the article had talked about how good the movie was, I really didn't like it. I felt that the main characters were ALWAYS in danger and you never really felt a payoff. It really bugged me when the terrorists were torturing the characters, I felt almost like stepping in, and I'm sure other viewers felt the same way. The article didn't mention this kind of frustration at all.

Star Tribune Article

About a week ago, I read an article in the Star Tribune about the Rays/Phillies World Series bout. I really thought that the match up was pretty sick. I really wanted the Rays to win, just because I don't really like the Phillies. I thought it was a sweet match up, because it was kind of similar to a baseball fan, five years ago, insisting that the Brewers were going to go all the way.

I thought that it was really odd that the last game almost didn't finish. The fact that this has never happened in the history of the World Series, and in a contest between the Rays and the Phillies, it made for a really bizarre ending.

Marine Sniper

I thought that Marine Sniper was basically the best book in the history of printed word. I especially liked the section of the book where Hathcock manages to snipe five different soldiers in a row. I have always liked army movies and particularly anything that focuses on snipers, so I really dug this book.

A friend of my read about this book, at a local library, and reccomended it to me. He said it was completely sick. He was right.
